Ingredients 3 Boneless Chicken Breasts

Approximately 3-4 TBL. Hungarian Sweet Paprika (Must be Hungarian Sweet Paprika - I recommend: SZEGED Brand)

Salt

6oz. Sour Cream

1 Medium Sweet Yellow Onion

1 tsp. Chicken Base (not powdered, cubed or liquid)

2 TBL. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 5.5oz. Can of V8 Juice

Preparation 1) Chop 1 Yellow Onion and set aside.

2) In medium-size saucepan, add Olive Oil and heat on medium heat. lightly sear chicken on both sides until white to medium brown. (DO NOT COOK CHICKEN ALL THE WAY, it should be raw in the middle.)

3) Remove chicken from pot with tongs and place on chicken-safe cutting board. Generously coat both sides of the chicken with Hungarian Sweet Paprika (any paprika other than Hungarian Sweet will not work).

4) Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the chopped onions to the same pot used to sear the chicken (the juices from the chicken and any remaining olive oil will add flavor). Stir the onions to coat them with the remaining juices. Cover the onions and let cook until transparent (approximately 5 minutes). Be sure to stir the onions occasionally.

5) While onions are cooking, cube paprika-coated chicken in approximately 1" squares. Add additional paprika if necessary.

6) Stir in paprika-coated chicken into cooked, transparent onions. Cover and let cook for 5 minutes, stir twice.

7) Reduce heat to low, add 1 can of V8 Juice and 1 tsp. of Chicken Base. Stir well and cover the pot. Simmer on low for two hours.

8) Salt to taste (keep in mind there is salt in V8 juice), add sour cream.

9) Serve over either egg noodles, small noodles of your choice or traditionally serve with Hungarian Galuska (Hungarian Dumplings).

10) Garnish with a few sprinkles of Hungarian Paprika, enjoy!

OPTIONAL) Add sifted flour to thicken sauce if necessary.

This quickly became my family's favorite meal! They absolutely love this dish! I definitely recommend this for anyone. I tried three other versions of this dish and none tasted this great.
